Meet The Team
John is a highly experienced technology leader with a background in various leadership roles in the financial services industry. He has held previous roles such as Director and Chief Technology Officer for Deutsche Bank in Australia, where he sat as a member of the banks operating committee; Vice President with Credit Suisse; and Chairman of the AIIA Financial Services Special Interest Group. He has also served as Chairman of the New South Wales Government ICT Industry Advisory Panel and chaired the independent advisory panel for NSW government on Cyber Security. More recently he has shifted his focus to helping organizations secure themselves against modern challenges in the field of cyber security. To support this, he founded Revio Cyber Security, a consultancy that helps organizations understand the true extent of their cyber security challenges and provides them with education, processes, and tools to address these issues. John has been involved in the development of Barrenjoey, a new Australian financial services firm, since its inception with a view to assisting the development of business practices which are secure by design, as well as robust Information Security strategy. He is a strong believer in ongoing education and has completed studies at Macquarie University, INSEAD, and the London Business School. Awarded the title of Adjunct Fellow of Macquarie University, he has been working with the Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub since its inception in 2016, developing courses and architecting systems within the Cyber Training Range Centre. His research interests include intelligent IoT ecosystems, Machine Learning, and the security implications of driverless vehicles. John is currently a non-executive director on the board of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Division), and a member of the Australian Computing Society where he sits on the Cyber Security Committee, providing advice to the federal government on legislative changes.
Andrew has helped many clients evaluate their cyber exposure and helped them move towards a NIST aligned risk management framework. A mindset of “do it right” and “share knowledge to help others grow” has helped drive Andrew’s career as a respected peer within the cyber industry. Andrew also has a passion for standardisation, process and documentation.
Ben is a cybersecurity analyst at Revio Cyber Security with keen interest in both security engineering and operations. Currently studying at the University of New South Wales, Ben is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Commerce. This unique combination of fields allows him to approach security challenges from both a technical and business perspective, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the complexities in the field. By participating in university competitions and societies, Ben remains engaged in the cybersecurity community to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. This engagement helps him continuously develop his skills and knowledge to tackle the ever-evolving challenges in cyber security.
Yuvraj is a cyber security analyst at Revio, where he plays a pivotal role in safeguarding digital assets against emerging threats. Complementing his professional pursuits, Yuvraj is pursuing a degree in Enterprise Management Systems at AIBI, enriching his expertise in the realm of technology management. With a keen interest in the dynamic landscape of evolving technologies, Yuvraj gravitated towards the field of cyber security. Within his tenure at Revio, he has emerged as an indispensable asset, contributing significantly to the organization's security posture. Yuvraj's responsibilities encompass a wide array of critical tasks, including managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, orchestrating comprehensive phishing simulations, and training programs, conducting proactive threat hunting, orchestrating incident response strategies, executing thorough vulnerability scans, and leveraging automation tools such as Jira to streamline project workflows. Additionally, he adeptly oversees database management operations, ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive data assets. Outside of his professional role, Yuvraj is an active member of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), where he dedicates his time and expertise to participating in programs and volunteering initiatives aimed at advancing cyber security awareness and education.”
Natasha’s role as a cybersecurity analyst is centred around risk and governance. Her recent work has been focused on implementing security frameworks to meet the specific needs of Revio’s clients. She enjoys the problem-solving aspect of her work, and the continuous skills development and learning needed to keep up with an evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Subi specialises in monitoring and analysing security threats to ensure the integrity of organisation's systems and data. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she is adept at identifying and mitigating risks before they escalate. She is engaged in third-party risk assessment, leveraging her expertise to fortify organisation's defences against external threats. Rubi actively participates in cybersecurity and information technology events and workshops She is committed to staying at the forefront of industry developments and best practices. Through continuous learning and collaboration, she strives to elevate both her skills and the security posture of the organisations she works with at Revio.
